Egyptian Goddesses 4 Statue Set cultured marble, hand gold leafed Selket, Isis, Nepthys, and Neith ( Sold Out )~Click Picture To Enlarge~As archaeologist Howard Carter poked a hole in the door of King Tutankhamun's tomb, then peeked in with the aid of a flashlight, his backer Lord Carnovan anxiously asked if he could see anything. "Yes, Wonderful Things", replied Carter. Out of sight, inside the innermost room, guarding a shrine containing the King's vital organs, stood four beautiful goddesses - Isis protecting the liver; Nepthys, the lungs; Neith, the stomach; and Selket, the intestines. The figures were alike except for the direction of heads and the emblems atop their heads. Each wore a pleated shawl over a close fitting dress with short sleeves, and over both garments a broad collar modeled to imitate rows of beads. The headdress represents a linen kerchief into which the hair is gathered, tied at the nape of the neck and continues downward as a broad flap. Each Statue has a height: 11" Made of cultured marble, hand gold leafed and detailed. This is the only set available. No more will be sold. This is a good opportunity if your're a collector of fine egyptian replicas. |
