Wedding Maiden Goblet (Hammered Finish)
Kevin O’Hare was inspired for this creation by the story of the beautiful daughter of a German goldsmith who fell in love with her father’s apprentice. Their love threatened to shake tradition and in order to turn the impossible into possible they were given a task, to craft a cup which can be drunk by both without spilling a drop. This is how this cup came to life, the wife must drink from the top and the groom from the bottom. Incredibly detailed, the maiden is wearing a traditional dress (around 1450), she wears blue crystals in her ears while balancing the finely sculpted cup. This gift represents the power of true love to overcome all odds in order to inspire future generations to maintain belief by finding out-of-the-box solutions.
